The United States Department of Agriculture will provide funds to rehabilitate damaged farm and ranch land. The USDA announced today that money will be available through the Emergency Conservation Program to repair farm and ranch land damaged by natural disasters that occurred in 2008 and 2009. Approximately 1.8 million dollars will go to Montague, Clay, Jack, Archer, Young, and Wheeler counties. These areas were hit hard by wildfires last spring. The money made available is to be used for fence restoration.
