At a meeting this morning, the Lubbock ISD school board unanimously approved the appointment of two new administrators. Dr. Berhl Robertson Jr. has been hired as Lubbock ISD’s new Chief Administrative Officer. Robertson spent nine years as Roosevelt ISD Superintendent, before joining Texas Tech’s Outreach and Distance Education program. He’ll oversee all non-academic functions in the district, such as facilities, technology, and human resources. Also, Lubbock High School Principal Doyle Vogler will serve as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning for Quadrants 1 and 2, which encompass the Monterey and Coronado High School attendance Zones. Vogler, who’s been at Lubbock High since 1991, will continue his duties there until a replacement can be found.
